Seven Pounds

Seven Pounds was a great movie. Will Smith played the main part in the movie. His role had a lot of verisimilitude becouse someone with that many connections could in fact help a lot of people. He was an IRS agent that wanted redemption. His goal throw out the movie was to help 7 strangers. To understand why I think it had similarly to the Kane, you have to see it throw me eyes. 7 pounds was about helping people and understanding the importance of helping one and other. Kane was a man with everything but didn't have a whole lot. He wanted to help people but never got a chance to. Kane died a lonely man only because he thought money fixed everything but in realty money doesn't fix everything.. We do.

Coal Miner's Daughter

Coal Miner's Daughter directed by Micheal Apted in 1980

Coal Miner's daughters reminds me of Citizen Kane because Lynn an Kane both grew up in life way to fast but in different ways. Lynn was married by age 13 and had 4 kids by the age of twenty. she was abused by her husband and got cheated on quite often. Kane got adopted into a family and was forced into the family business quite early. he was the cheater in his relationship. Kane become rich and lonely. Yes he had money but no family because he was too big headed and the money took over his way of thinking. Lynn became famous for her singing that's all she new how to do an was able to do. Lynn got rich and became happy with her life because even with all that money she still knew how to treat people.

I think Cole Miner's Daughter was verisimilitude , i think it was real because alot of women back in the in 1900's were abused and cheated on by there husbands and had babies at a young age and many of them. They may have some talent and thats all they know how to do so they use what they got to get what that want or need to be in life.

Have you seen this movie or relate to it in anyway?
Is this a movei u may be intreseted in at all?

beautiful mind 2002

Director: Ron Howard

Genre:Biography/Drama

Released: 2002

I'm comparing my movie to Beautiful Mind. In the movie(Beautiful Mind) the main charater lost his mind. He got carried away doing something that he thought he loved, and in Citizen Kane he got carried away with money and end up in the end very unhappy and lonely. In Beautiful Mind the main charater got so obessed with math that he ended up in the end very unhappy and lonely because he also lost his wife. (just like) In Citizen Kane he lost his wife because he was obsessed with money. How I thought the movie had a lot of verisimilitude was because it was realistic and had "down to earth" problems such as in the movie Beautiful Mind he had skitzophernia and he would have an friend that no one else can see and in Citizen Kane he was obsessed with his money which happens to some people once they get money.

Baby Boy 2001

This movie admonished me on how Yevette Stop putting up with all the cheating and she was jaded by the the time he has hit her. So she decided to leave the situation when things wasnt getting better Similar to Citizen Kane. So she didnt open the door for Jody when he tried to make it up to her.

Its by John Singleton.

Polo.

2001 baby boy

This movie remined me of the movie baby boy because he hit his girl an she left him. The citizin kane movie she left him. In both movies they were all about making money and not caring about others. The movie Baby Boy came out in 2001 the dic was John Singleton.

The Other Boylen Girl

The Other Boyeyn Girl (2008) Directed by Justin Chadwick starting, Scarlett johansson, Eric Bana and Natalie Portman was a biopic that reminded me of Citizen Kane. The Other Boylen Girl was about two girls that are sisters Anne and Mary boylen competing for the love of King Henry VIII. They were driven by a kingdom the only thing that can come between them.
Like Citizen Kane money and luxuries messed up their normal lives they once lived. Justin Chadwick made the movie with alot of verisimilitude. it was realistic because love makes a lot of people act foolish and betray their families. Just because it was many years ago it doesnt mean those issues dont exist today it happens all the time.

Too Legit: The MC Hammer Story

Citizen Kane reminded me of MC hammers movie "Too Legit"Artie Mandelberg in 2001 because it had the same storyline the only thing that happened different is he didn't die in the end of his movie like Citizen Kane. It's a Biopic just like Citizen Kane but they use MC Hammers name unlike Kane. They go through the same issues with money taking there life over and corrupting them. They lose there wife's and end up lonely in the long run.

Titanic

Year: 1997

director: James Cameron

Its about these two characters that fall in love. But they are from to different worlds. Jack Dawson that is from the poor social group that falls in love with Rose DeWitt Bukater that comes from the rich social group. they both fall in love on the Titanic ( the ship) they are on. Rose trys to jump to her death (commit suicide). Jack sees her and talks her from jumping and they both start falling in love. the ship hits a ice berge and he ends up saving her.

Ray (2004)

Director: Taylor Hackford

Ray is a biopic about Ray Charles, one of the most popular jazz musicians of all time (who also happens to be blind). Jamie Foxx plays the part of Ray Charles.

Some comparisons I found between Ray and Citizen Kane is that they both start off with Ray and Charles as children. Throughout the movie both of the main characters get something they want in life, for Ray is was to become a popular musician and for Charles it was to get lots of money. In the end both Ray and Charles lose someone they care a lot about. They lose that someone because they were both corrupted because of an addiction of theres; Ray was addicted to heroin and Charles was addicted to money.

The movie Ray took 15 years to produce, mainly because they needed to financial security. During the production of the film the real Ray Charles was given a Braille copy of the script to make sure everything was okay with him.

What's Love Got To Do With It (1993)

In these two films they have similarity .The male character's Ike and Kane starts getting in there own production, and then starts to get obbsessed with there money and start abusing it,and putting it first before anything and every one. causing them to be alone and to be in dept. In the female character's Tina and Kane's wife got fed up with the fact that they stopped caring for them and start abusing them with causes them to leave them all alone.
Verisimilitude: The reason why I think that this real is because when it comes to music productions and singers people persuade others that sing good just to get their business started and have there name develope in the music industry.
Director: Brian Gibson

Citizen Kane (1941)

Director: Orson Welles

What film does Citizen Kane remind you of and why? Is your film also based on a real person or true events? If so, explain who/what. Do you think your film had a high degree of verisimilitude? Eternal Sunshine

Eternal Sunshine reminded me of The Time Travelers Wife (2009) starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana. they're similar because in the time traveler's wife Henry DeTamble (Eric Bana) is traveling back and forth in time. Its also a romance movie.
I really enjoyed eternal sunshine. i felt like it was a different approach to the romace movie. It really didnt follow the status quo of a typical romace. The mise-en-scene of the movie to me was when he was stuck in the accident scene the way they edited the scene to look like he was stuck in sort of like a mirror kind of a reflection that he couldn't escape was cool.
