Enternal sunshine's Production reminded me of Tim Burtons 1988 film Beetle juice. The neighborhood settings were dark but not scary. He made you feel like you were somewhere that you have never been but in a realistic way. Both were different looking films that made you pay attention to the setting because you never knew what was going to pop up or happen. The producer and screen writers for both movies had the same type of idea's for semi dark settings.
